This is a straightforward content site. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which articles are useful — aggregate data like page views and referrers, not personal profiles.
• Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive whatever you send so we can reply. We don’t use it for anything else.

Cookies & affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link, the destination service (or an affiliate network such as the one a vendor uses) may set a cookie so it can attribute a sign-up or purchase to this site. That process is controlled by those third parties under their own privacy policies, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure for how those links work.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your personal data.
• We don’t require an account to read anything.
• We don’t run intrusive ad networks that build profiles on you.

Your choices

You can block cookies in your browser and use tracker-blocking extensions; the site will still work. To ask what we hold or to request deletion of anything you’ve sent us, just email us.
