v0 is the strongest generative-UI tool going: describe a screen and get clean, idiomatic React/Next.js with Tailwind and shadcn/ui you can paste straight into a project. It's expanding into full-stack, but its centre of gravity — and its real advantage — is front-end.

What is v0 — and who is it for?

v0 is Vercel's generative-UI tool, and it is the sharpest instrument on this site for one specific job: turning a description — or a screenshot — into clean, idiomatic React. Ask for a pricing page, a dashboard shell, a settings form, and it returns Next.js with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui components that look like they were written by a competent front-end engineer who read your design system. It has since grown outward toward full-stack workflows, but make no mistake about where its centre of gravity lies: the interface is the point.

The natural audience is front-end developers and product teams already living in the Next.js world. If your hard problem is the UI — you know the data and the logic, you just want screens that look considered without spending a day on them — v0 is hard to beat. If your hard problem is everything behind the UI, it's the wrong end of the tool.
